KVM Tweaks for Debian and Ubuntu

Step 1 - Install Sysfsutilis

  • Install the sysfsutils package:
apt -y install sysfsutils

  • Change the block scheduler to deadline:
echo "block/sda/queue/scheduler = deadline" >> /etc/sysfs.conf

Step 3 - Edit fstab

  • Now open fstab file:
nano /etc/fstab

  • And add the following options to the root partition in /etc/fstab:
